GBAIR has ordered 23 brand new Boeing 737-8MAX aircraft, the latest version of the worlds best selling narrow-body jet. These aircraft will be used on services to the US East Coast, Canada and the Middle East. It will offer significant fuel savings over our outgoing Boeing 757 aircraft and it's performance will allow us to operate from shorter runways which are currently performance limited for our Airbus A321 aircraft.
The first 16 MAX deliveries will be configured for mid haul and ETOPS operation, featuring 20 Fully Lie Flat sky bed seats in the business class cabin and 144 seats in the economy class cabin.
In 2018 we will introduce 7 more Boeing 737-8MAX aircraft with a short haul cabin configuration, replacing all remaining Airbus A321 aircraft.
